The Royal & Ancient Hook
These splendid brass hooks are found at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club in St. Andrews, Scotland. The entry hall sports several of these hooks which are of an unusual design in so far as the long upward pointing arm was intended to take top hats, as no doubt in days of yore golf was played in smart attire.
Recent refurbishment of the premises called for an additional set of hooks which have been made in brass rather than the old, bronzed version.
A small detail is that the new ones do not have the knobs at the ends, but rather a flat round ending that echoes the back plate and looks very smart.
Younger Enterprises, with the kind permission of the R&A, are pleased to offer these wonderful hooks to customers in either style, so as to suit all tastes.
